Minerals : Vesuvianite on wollastonite
Dimensions : (69.12×68.93×33.77) mm for matrix
Weight : 189g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite of this matrix contains a very small part of manganese, giving it a localized purple tint. In addition, the growth of the matrix began on a bed of wollastonite and serpentine. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite on albite
Dimensions : (15.64×17.56×11.21) mm for the central crystal and (73.49×37.11×41.67) mm for matrix
Weight : 132g
Treatment : None
Origin : Grenville, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite comes from a skarn rich in pyroxene (diopside type). The formation of the vesuvianite central crystal of this matrix is produced by compression of its chemical elements and does not come from a cavity. Vesuvianite formation has fractures, but has no particular point of weakness. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (5.96×3.75) mm for the biggest crystal and (45.16×35.58×18.75) mm for matrix
Weight : 46g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite of this matrix contains a large proportion of manganese, giving it a purple tint. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (16.36×6.80) mm for the biggest crystal and (79.30×51.36×45.41) mm for matrix
Weight : 244g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : – -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (43.72×33.93×25.36) mm for matrix
Weight : 48g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite of this matrix contains a very small part of manganese, giving it a localized purple tint. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (15.06×20.95) mm for the geode formation and (51.55×48.87×25.25) mm for matrix
Weight : 93g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite of this matrix contains a geode type grounding where two types of crystallization are found: single crystals (larger greenish colored crystals) and microcrystals agglomerations (smaller purple colored crystals). -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (13.18×6.92) mm for the central crystal et (14.87×11.27×8.37) mm for matrix
Weight : 2g
Treatment : None
Origin : Mine Jeffrey, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The main crystal is opaque to direct light . This is due to multiple inclusions and internal fractures . The structure has small transparent green bitermine vesuvianite and is not fractured. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite
Dimensions : (7.98×6.21) mm for the biggest crystal and (19.44×12.26×9.56) mm for matrix
Weight : 3g
Treatment : None
Origin : Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Québec
Information : The master crystal of this matrix has a very slight yellowish tint and is without inclusion. In addition, the basis of the matrix contains a higher magnesium concentration giving it a purple color. -
Minerals : Vesuvianite on quartz and pyroxene aggregate
Dimensions : (32.15×30.10×32.84) mm for the vesuvianite formation and (82.11×62.54×40.48) mm for matrix
Weight : 224g
Treatment : None
Origin : Grenville, Québec
Information : The vesuvianite comes from a skarn rich in pyroxene (diopside type). The crystalline formation of this vesuvianite is streaked, meaning it has bands. This is an agglomerate of chemical materials on the vesuvianite base in the matrix structure nor then a clean crystal formed on a wall. Vesuvianite formation has fractures, but has no particular point of weakness. The color of vesuvianite is brown turning to dark red. -
Minerals: Vesuvianite
Dimensions: (21.07×27.68×10.43) mm
Weight: 9.87g
Origin: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec
Information: This matrix has an aggregate of green tips with a slight yellowish tint. The crystallization thereof is performed in a pocket because the rest of the matrix is only an aggregate of microcrystals. -
Minerals: Vesuvianite
Dimensions: (15.07×17.38×14.15) mm
Weight: 4.21g
Origin: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec
Information: Most of the crystalization of this formation does not contain manganese, but as its base contains many, this matrix therefore has a purplish hue. -
Minerals: Vesuvianite
Dimensions: (7.69×6.63×16.04) mm
Weight: 1.87g
Origin: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec
Information: This crystal is free of inclusion, but has internal fractures perpendicular to the growth axis.
